Ecological Restoration
Farglory Life officially adopted the ISO 14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory standard in 2021. Through systematic inventory, the Company accurately tracks actual emissions. Based on related energy expenditures and surveys conducted across all operational sites, total emissions are calculated using the operational control approach, achieving 100% coverage. In addition to conducting annual greenhouse gas inventories, the Company expanded the scope in 2023 to include policy services, introducing carbon footprint verification. In 2024, Farglory Life obtained ISO 14067 certification for policy carbon footprints and was awarded the carbon label from Taiwan's Ministry of Environment.
Greenhouse Gas Emissions
In 2024, total Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions amounted to 3,080.1797 metric tons of CO₂e, with a per capita emission intensity of 0.7230 metric tons of CO₂e - down 4.6% from 2023. The Company continues to implement energy-saving and carbon-reduction measures, such as installing solar and wind power generation equipment on the rooftops of our own buildings and replacing lighting fixtures with energy-efficient alternatives to achieve annual reduction targets.
Mobile Insurance Services
Farglory Life develops digitally-transformed, optimized service processes by incorporating digital services into insurance innovation. By doing so, we provide policyholders with mobile services and create a highly convenient, equal digital insurance service ecosystem. Internally, the Company implements paperless meetings, digital learning courses, and e-management for employees. Externally, we promote different digital services, such as mobile insurance applications, electronic policy services, online insurance applications, online after-sales services, and electronic policy statements. These efforts aim to reduce environmental impacts and greenhouse gas emissions, positively contributing to environmental sustainability.
Through our implementation of mobile and electronic services, the Company saved approximately 9.86 million sheets of paper in 2024, equivalent to approximately 2 times the height of the Taipei 101 building. Our electronic services have helped save nearly a thousand trees from being cut down, resulting in a reduction of approximately 75 tons of carbon emissions.

Sustainable Green Buildings
Farglory Life starts from our own operations and incorporates environmental-friendly and energy-saving designs in our newly constructed buildings, such as increasing greenery, as well as reducing water consumption and carbon emissions. The Farglory Financial Center was the first commercial office building in the Xinyi District to receive dual certifications of LEED-NC Gold from the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and Diamond-level from the Ministry of the Interior's Green Building certification, setting a benchmark for sustainable corporate buildings. As of 2023, the Company has constructed four green buildings.
To foster mutual growth with suppliers, Fglife employs new supplier assessments, supplier risk management, supplier audits, and supplier guidance. This approach helps develop suppliers into a green supply chain and reduces supply chain risks. Environmental sustainability and social human rights clauses are incorporated into supplier contracts, requiring suppliers to fully comply with local and international environmental and social regulations. This demonstrates Fglife's commitment to enhancing the sustainability of our supply chain.
Green Procurement
Farglory Life prioritizes purchasing products that meet the Green Mark standards recognized by the Ministry of Environment, aiming to achieve goals of energy saving, water conservation, and reduced energy consumption. The Company gives preference to products with green building material labels and water efficiency labels, and selects suppliers that comply with corporate social responsibility standards. In 2024, green procurement totaled NT$36.34 million, accounting for 7% of total procurement and representing a 98% increase compared to 2023.
Supporting Local Procurement
Farglory Life continuously increases the proportion of local procurement and develops local suppliers through procurement management procedures. Over the past three years, the percentage of local suppliers has been 97% or higher. In 2024, the total procurement amount reached NT$480 million, with 100% sourced from local suppliers.
In response to global biodiversity concerns, Farglory Life joined hands with the National Taiwan Ocean University and University of Science and Technology China to continue the promotion of Farglory Life's“Owl Conservation Programme " and " Marine Coral Restoration Project ". The workings of Farglory also leads volunteers to promote rural primary schools, take part in environmental efforts, and further launch the “Clean Declaration” campaign. Ultimately, Farglory serves to build an action platform to invite all walks of like to speak out for environmental protection.
SDG 15 Terrestrial Ecosystem Restoration
Since 2021, Farglory Life has collaborated with the Research and Development Center for Interdisciplinary Studies and the Institute of Wildlife Conservation at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology. To date, seven pesticide-free ecological farmland areas covering 6.74 hectares have been established in Gaoshu Township, Pingtung County, and Dongshan District, Tainan City. In 2023, two additional sustainable forest plots totaling 5.9 hectares were planted within FSC-certified artificial forests at Yongzai Plantation.
In 2024, the project expanded to Tonglin Community in Wufeng District, Taichung City, a proven ecological restoration site. Transitioning from purely ecological efforts to cultural engagement, Farglory Life supported local owl conservation through strategic partnerships. The Pingtung University team provided monitoring technology to enhance ecological research, while integrating community branding and conservation by launching eco-friendly agricultural products aligned with SDG 15. These have included Owl-brand Pineapple Cake Gift Boxes; Owl-Branded Rice; Owl-Branded Mushrooms; and Owl-Branded Longan Honey. These efforts support rural farmers in marketing their produce.

SDG 14 Marine Ecosystem Restoration
In 2022, Farglory Life launched the Marine Coral Restoration Project which has since led to the planting of 230 coral seedlings. By revitalizing coral habitats to protect marine biodiversity, the initiative aligns with SDG 14: Life Below Water by helping ensure conservation and sustainable use of oceans and marine resources. In 2024, Farglory Life's volunteer team collaborated with students of the Junior Beach Ambassadors program at Fulian Elementary School and a technical team from National Taiwan Ocean University to carry out coral restoration efforts in Gongliao, New Taipei City. Utilizing artificial coral seedling cultivation techniques in nursery pools, healthy corals will be transplanted offshore in the future, facilitating marine habitat recovery and safeguarding a thriving ocean environment for future generations.
